Derek attended high school at The Academy of Holy Angels.  Derek played Div I lacrosse at Butler University & Providence before transferring to St. Thomas.  While with the Tommies Derek won back-to-back  MCLA National Championships and was selected 1st Team All American. Derek is now the defensive coordinator for the Edina Hornets.
